GIRLS & ADOLESCENT GIRLS
Building confidence, capabilityand leadership through sport.
BMGA Sport Lab uses sport as a platform to help girls and adolescent girls develop confidence, teamwork, resilience, leadership and a stronger sense of possibility. Through programmes, research and partnerships, we develop and scale approaches that prepare girls for success in school, work and life.

THE APPROACH
Four lines of work, run together.
01
Youth training programmes
Structured coaching blocks delivered with partner schools, with attendance and progression tracked per participant.
02
Research and learning
Exploring how sport participation shapes girls' confidence, engagement in school and long-term aspiration, and using what is learned to shape the Lab's approach.
03
Coach development
Safeguarding, pedagogy and athlete welfare training for the coaches already working in our partner communities.
04
Pathways and scholarships
Routes for the girls who want to go further — academies, competitions and academic scholarships.
WHO IT SERVES
Girls and adolescent girls, in their own communities.
Sport Lab does not recruit individuals; it partners with the school, club or community organisation a girl already belongs to, and works inside it. That is why attendance holds through the school year.
Every coach and volunteer is vetted and safeguarding-trained before placement. Parents and guardians receive a termly written report on their daughter's participation.
